At Deep Well Doulas, we believe postpartum is not a time to “bounce back” but to be lovingly supported as you return to yourself.
Belly binding is a centuries-old practice we offer as both physical support and a meaningful postpartum ritual with the purpose of helping you feel stabilized and contained as your core and pelvic floor heals. It can speed up recovery and reduce swelling after vaginal delivery or surgical birth.
The plan.

Warm and Prepare
We begin with a tea and healthy snack, and either a foot soak or sit bath. Then we continue with a gentle abdominal massage using oils to nourish and warm your tissues and womb.

Wrap and Support
We apply a traditional belly bind, tailored to your body, to support healing, improve posture, and bring a sense of containment.

Teach and Empower
You or your partner/support person will learn how to safely rebind at home so the benefits continue between sessions.
